There is no excellent finish with a poor beginning. The prepress studio is the quietest and the least spectacular stage of the long printing process. But it is the place, which significantly influences the quality of labels, packaging and leaflets that will next be printed. To make it really perfect and to save our customers’ time we have equipped our studio with all the necessary, very modern devices and entrusted them to the care of our specialists. This is the place where we scrupulously process materials delivered by our customers and prepare offset matrixes using CTP technology

Imposition, also called electronic editing, of PDF or PS files enables significant time reduction of order execution if the work is prepared basing on the following conditions:

1. We request that files, which are used for editing, are delivered in PDF composite format. Editing from separated files is recommended in the case of complicated settings - packaging hotstamping, dry pressing, overprint. Before filing, fonts should be closed to curves and with open jobs they should be attached to the job. The job may consist only of files of one type.
2. The job must be single-sided, include passers, cutting sizes and bleeds of minimum 2mm on each side and must be centred in the format, in which it is closed. Fitting in the imposition computer software used by us is 100% accurate, providing the equal bleeds balance is maintained on all sides.
3. The job containing a pinch must meet the following requirements:
   1. The punch (in separate Pantone colour) is centred in the format in which it is saved.
   2. The drawing protrudes 3mm beyond the outline of the punch and is removed from the glued flap remaining 3mm of the drawing is removed from the glued flap.
   3. The job has colour traps and overprints, especially hotstamping
   4. If the customer has punch disruption, he is requested to deliver it in cf2 format.
   5. We also accept punches in ai and cdr formats.
   6. Except special cases which should be agreed before (job with Pantone colours) the job must be saved in CMYK.

Transfer method:

1. Materials for electronic editing are received as PDF and PS files both composite and separated.

3. Having saved materials on the FTP please send us an e-mail to prepress@joppol.pl with an exposure order defining deadline and names of files.
4. Files up to 2MB may be sent along with the exposure order by e-mail to prepress@joppol.pl.
5. Files may also be delivered on CD’s or DVD’s burnt in PC/Mac format.
